Why Teach English in South Korea?

South Korea has managed to preserve much of its ancient culture and traditions, so it offers travellers a unique insight into Asian life. By heading to South Korea as a TEFL teacher your adventure will be even more unique as you’ll live and work alongside local people. Despite its friendly and open people, South Korea is an essentially conservative country. As with all of South East Asia, appearance is very important. So when submitting your passport photo as part of the application, please bear this in mind. Prominent tattoos, facial piercings and bright pink hair probably wouldn't be a good look!

What Will You Get in South Korea?

• Salary: Earn up to 2million Won (€1,200) a month
• Free Accommodation: Private bedroom in fully furnished shared accommodation
• Flights: You will be reimbursed by the school for your flights in stages; 25% on arrival, 25% after a portion of your contract has been completed and the final 50% on successful completion of your contract
• Arrival: Meet and greet service at the airport, plus orientation and transfer to school
• Locations: Across South Korea
• Contract length: 12 months
• Departure dates: Departure dates are available throughout the year
• Student age range: Age 3-adult

What Do You Need to Get a Teaching Job in South Korea?

• Native English speaker: Must be a holder of a native English passport (e.g. Irish, British, Australian, New Zealand, USA, Canadian or South African)
• TEFL qualified: Our 120 Hour Online or 140 Hour Combined TEFL Courses are recommended
• University degree holder
• Visa: You must apply from your home country to obtain the necessary visa
